The Company:

Interface are proud to be partnered with an Australian investment firm with a strategic focus on sustainable asset growth. Known for integrating environmental, social, and governance (ESG) principles, they invest heavily in renewable energy projects and sustainable property developments, positioning themselves as leaders in eco-conscious investments.

The Role:

You will be a key member of the sustainability team, focused on sustainability reporting for funds and investors. The role suits candidates with an operation or reporting background, strong organisational skills, and a passion for  sustainability within finance or funds management.
Reporting to the Sustainability Manager, you will manage fund and investor due diligence questionnaires, analyse data, and maintain up-to-date communication materials.
Additionally, you will identify opportunities for process improvement, including automation for greater efficiency, and support knowledge-building for stakeholders. The role also involves contributing to annual GRESB and INREV benchmark submissions for real estate funds.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide timely and efficient responses to sustainability due diligence questionnaires and surveys from investors and internal stakeholders.

  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive, adaptable library of sustainability responses and documents for diverse reporting needs.

  • Conduct data analysis and manage essential sustainability metrics for both routine and specialised reporting requests.

  • Enhance reporting efficiency by utilising automation and systemisation, optimising resources and driving improvements in sustainability reporting outcomes.

  • Foster capabilities within the Funds Management team by creating sustainability learning materials and developing communication resources for stakeholder self-service.

  • Conduct research on relevant sustainability topics using internal and external sources as needed.

  • Assist in gathering materials for global benchmarks and larger investor reporting initiatives, such as GRESB and INREV.

  • Support the governance and implementation of the organisation’s overarching Sustainability strategy.

Requirements:

(Whilst we are also hiring on potential, this is a key, senior position within the business)

  • Degree or relevant experience in Environment or Sustainability (preferred)

  • Three years or more experience in a similar role with experience communicating with investors on sustainability due diligence questionnaires.

  • Familiarity with various key local and international frameworks, regulations, and methodologies, such as ASRS, NGER, GRI, SBTI, SASB, TNFD, CSRD, and GHG Protocol, among others. (preferred)

  • Strong commitment to sustainability, climate change, environmental issues, or social causes.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, particularly in client-facing scenarios.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the skill to present complex ideas clearly.
